Anny Gaul, 2016 International Dissertation Research Fellowship recipient, is a doctoral candidate in Arabic and Islamic Studies at Georgetown University. Her academic interests include culinary cultures, gender, the body, and domesticity in North Africa. She has lived in Morocco, Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt, and will defend the cuisines of them all.
