Brad Weiss

Brad Weiss is professor and chair of anthropology at William & Mary and the former president of the Society for Cultural Anthropology. The author of four books and one edited volume, Weiss has been a residential fellow at both the School of American Research and the National Humanities Center. His most recent book, Real Pigs, was just published by Duke University Press. It examines the "local food" movement through a focus on niche market pig production and consumption in central North Carolina. He has also done ethnographic field research in Tanzania since the 1980s.
