Kelsey Chatlosh is a cultural anthropology PhD student and Digital Fellow at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY). Her future dissertation research in northern Chile, supported by a Fulbright IIE research grant, will investigate Afro-Chilean women activists’ articulations of belonging to the African diaspora and the Chilean nation as a site of knowledge production in relation to Chile's racial formation and patriarchal system, and temporal configurations of colonial and national expansionist pasts and post- or de-colonial presents and futures. Her work as a Digital Fellow is focused on digital tools and platforms for qualitative research and oral interviews, with an emphasis on ethics, political economy, and anticolonial and feminist methods.
