Lilian Bobea
Lilian Bobea was a 2012 Drugs, Security and Democracy fellowship recipient. She is a Senior Researcher at Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO) Dominican Republic and an Instructor at Bentley University in Massachusetts. She is also the academic director of Co-Paz, a training program for young researchers on Citizen Security in El Salvador, Honduras and Dominican Republic. Bobea is a Dominican sociologist, with a Ph.D from Utrecht University, and a Master’s degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton. Her areas of specialization include security and defense issues, civil-military relations, and citizen security in Latin America and the Caribbean.
