Nelanthi Hewa is a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Information. She studies the role of digital media in sexual violence coverage in Canada. Her work has been published in Feminist Media Studies, First Monday, and Journalism Studies. She also works as a contributing editor for the University of Toronto’s Digital Research Ethics Collaboratory.
