Omotayo Jolaosho

Omotayo Jolaosho is a faculty member in the School of Interdisciplinary Global Studies at the University of South Florida. She previously held a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for the Humanities at University of California, Merced, and received her doctorate in Cultural Anthropology from Rutgers University. She is completing a book manuscript on the role of embodied performance within activist collectives opposing neoliberal state economic policies in post-apartheid South Africa. The manuscript is based on long-term ethnographic research she completed in 2009 and 2010 as an IDRF recipient. Her previous publications include the transnational anthology African Women Writing Resistance: Contemporary Voices (University of Wisconsin Press, 2010).
