Sheila A. Brennan

Sheila A. Brennan is the director of strategic initiatives at the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media and research associate professor in the Department of History and Art History at George Mason University. She is an experienced project director, strategic planner, and outreach specialist with 20 years of experience working in cultural heritage and public history. Since joining RRCHNM in 2005, she has worked on many of RRCHNM’s signature digital projects, including Omeka, September 11 Digital Archive, Hurricane Digital Memory Bank, DoingDH, Histories of the National Mall, and the Papers of the War Department. Her digital monograph, Stamping American Memory, will be published with University of Michigan Press.
