Sohl Lee

Sohl Lee participated in the 2011 Korean Studies Dissertation Workshop and received an International Dissertation Research Fellowship in 2012. She is an assistant professor in modern and contemporary East Asian art history in the Department of Art at Stony Brook University. Her research specializes in the aesthetics of politics, art and democracy, and globalization. She is currently working on her book manuscript, tentatively titled “Images of Reality / Ideals of Democracy: Contemporary South Korean Art.”
